Welcome to Working For Downtown from President Rick Serra, President Allpro Parking, LLC

Working For Downtown is a volunteer civic organization committed to improving the quality of life for those living and working in downtown Buffalo. We promote communication between our members and some of the most dynamic and productive people in our community while fostering a sense of pride in the core business and residential area of our city. Working For Downtown is committed to promote and assist in the cultural, commercial, residential, and aesthetic improvement of downtown Buffalo.

Weekly Networking

Working for Downtown promotes and organizes many activities to keep you in touch with the latest developments in the downtown area. One of the most popular has been our weekly event Thursdays in the City which this year is at The Stillwater at 439 Delaware Avenue- 5:00 ? 8:00pm. Try it for some lively conversation and sample The Stillwater?s wonderful cuisine.

Making News

Metro Buffalo has a hearty group of sports fan fanatics so why not dedicate a space to the glorious history of one of our best loved teams downtown? Working For Downtown?s post holiday social gave us a chance to ponder that question and also a chance to look at a phenomenal collection of Buffalo Sabres memorabilia.

Joseph E. Gambacorta, DDS walked us through the timeline of his amazing Buffalo Sabres collection at the annual gathering at the New Era Cap Company on Monday, January 28.

The display included an amazing collection of programs, jerseys and a glimpse at part of Dr. Joe?s ?French Connection? collection. He is hoping to convince the city, developers, or just interested hockey fans, in building momentum to devote a permanent space for the collection, hopefully right near their hometown ice on Buffalo?s waterfront.

Joe Gambacorta is of course the brother of our own board member extraordinaire, Maria Gambacorta.

WFD Annual Meeting

The Working for Downtown Annual Meeting for the Election of Officers, our Annual Awards Presentation with special guest, Erie County Executive, Chris Collins is happening on Wednesday June 4th at noon. Details and registration form are HERE.
